松澤 宥《80年問題》
松澤宥は1964年6月「オブジェを消せ」という啓示を受けて以来、それまでの造形的な仕事から離れ、純粋観念の世界に入り文字を使った作品やパフォーマンスを国内外で発表。1977年のサンパウロ・ビエンナーレへの参加や2001年のテート・モダンでのパフォーマンスなど、コンセプチュアル・アートの先駆者として世界的な評価を得ました。
2006年に没して（享年84歳）以降もその評価は変わらず、2009年にはニューヨーク近代美術館（MoMA）が開催した「アムステルダムの内外」展の一部として松澤氏が残した作品が紹介され注目を集めました。（その時コレクションされた作品は現在MoMAのWebサイトで公開されています）また、2014年には横浜トリエンナーレの展示作家としても選出されています。
カスヤの森現代美術館では1995年4月に開館初の企画展として松澤宥の「量子芸術宣言」を取り上げ、2002年には2回目の個展となる松澤宥展「80年問題・言明・公案」を開催。オープニングの際に行われたパフォーマンスでは、テキストによる作品が松澤氏の肉声を通し、直接観覧者に届けられました。
現代美術における重要作家のひとりであるという位置付けから、これまでに4回の個展（没後開催を含む）やグループ展を通じ継続的にその作品を紹介してまいりましたが、本展では当館のコレクションの中から松澤氏の活動後期の主要な作品である「80年問題」を中心に様々な資料と合わせて展観いたします。

Since having an epiphany “Vanish the Object” in June 1964, Yutaka Matsuzawa ceased his previous formative activities and started creating and releasing purely conceptual pieces and performances domestically and internationally, e.g., Sao Paulo Art Biennial (1977) and a performance at TATE Modern (2001). Matsuzawa thus attained a world-wide reputation as a pioneer of conceptual art.
Even after his death at age 84 in 2006, his works are still appreciated. MoMA introduced some of Matsuzawa’s works in “In & Out of Amsterdam” in 2009 (the collection can be found on the MoMA website). Matsuzawa was also featured in Yokohama Triennale 2014.
Museum Haus Kasuya presented Matsuzawa’s “Quantum Art Manifesto” in April 1995, as a first exhibition, and “Eighty years problem – GENMEI – KOUAN” in March 2002. In the latter, Matsuzawa himself presented his text-based artwork to the audience during the opening performance.
Among the works from our collection, “Eighty Years Problem”, the artist’s masterpiece in his later years, is highlighted in this exhibition.
